The Undead Pool by Kim Harrison ~ REVIEW

By Kim Harrison
Pub Date February 25, 2014

Rachel Morgan has her work cut out for her in this one!  Working for Trent has become a comfortable routine, almost too comfortable where she begins to question her true feelings for him.  But she doesn't let her emotions or daydreams come to fruition because she knows how much Trent stands to lose.  Their chemistry is very palpable.  You can feel the sexual tension growing between them, the moment I think we have all been anxious for has finally arrived.

Just when she was finding a balance in her Witch/Day-Walking-Demon life, chaos begins to spread in Cincinnati and the Hollows.  There are waves of spells-gone-wrong and vampire violence spreading at an alarming rate.  With the Masters down, there is no one to keep the living vamps under control causing mass destruction and riots to over-run the city.

When the demons aren't willing to help, it's up to Rachel and her team to figure out what is causing the waves of wild magic to flow through the city and who is behind it.  It will take all of her resources to beat this one, no matter how much she doesn't want them involved or hurt.  But the lives of many are in their hands with enemies coming from all directions.

Definite 5 Stars!  I can't wait for the final book release but it will be bittersweet.  Reading this series has been quite an adventure and has earned a spot on my favorites shelf!
